Contract award

Technip Energies has been contracted by Petkim to provide the licence for a world‑scale mixed‑feed ethylene cracking unit and to deliver the integrated Process Design Package (PDP) and Front‑End Engineering Design (FEED) services for a proposed integrated petrochemical complex in Aliağa, Türkiye.

Technical scope

The FEED scope includes a steam cracker with design capacities of approximately 1,200 KTA ethylene and 550 KTA propylene. Downstream elements specified in the FEED comprise an 850 KTA HDPE/LLDPE complex configured as two 425 KTA trains, and a 550 KTA polypropylene plant integrated with the cracker.

Project status and intent

The awarded work covers licensing, PDP and FEED phases to advance the project's technical development ahead of any Final Investment Decision (FID). The project is described as intended to produce petrochemical building blocks for packaging, consumer goods, automotive components and industrial applications. The award was recorded in Q3 2026 in the Project Delivery and Technology, Products & Services segments.
