Sinopec showcases energy, refining and services at 2026 China International Service Trade Fair

Fair participation
From Sept 9–13, 2026 Sinopec exhibited at the China International Service Trade Fair in Beijing's Shougang Park. The event hosted representatives from 90 countries and over 1,800 companies. Sinopec occupied a 303‑square‑metre space in the environment and energy services special exhibition area focused on six development domains.
Energy and CCUS
Displays combined shale gas exploration, hydrogen, wind/solar and geothermal scenarios with immersive hydrogen and CCUS presentations. The Qilu Petrochemical–Shengli Oilfield CCUS project captures and purifies refinery CO2 for underground injection, increasing oil recovery by 200,000 tonnes per year and cutting CO2 emissions by 1 million tonnes annually.
Refining and new materials
Exhibits showed a full industry chain for bio‑jet fuel converting catering waste oil to aviation fuel, efforts to localise catalysts to replace imports, and recycling examples such as turning discarded ABS safety helmets into stationery. Sinopec referenced its first 40‑million‑ton refining base and progress toward higher‑end chemical materials.
Digital services and supply chain
Customer and supply chain displays included an automated robot coffee machine producing photo latte art, a petrochemical e‑trade digital platform, Great Wall Lubricants going global and the Yijie car‑maintenance ecosystem. Yijie International reported 350 million yuan in cumulative cross‑border transactions from January 2017 to May 2026.
Technology, engineering and outlook
Technology exhibits featured marine shale gas exploration theory, PVA optical film, an AI film evaluation system and petroleum/refining engineering services. Sinopec said it will focus on promoting high‑quality development through secondary entrepreneurship and accelerate the construction of a new industrial pattern of "one base, two wings, three chains, four new."
