- Neste commissioned terminal capacity at VTTI’s ETT terminal in Rotterdam for SAF storage and blending.
- SAF production at Neste’s Singapore refinery is ramping up, and Rotterdam refinery modifications are nearing completion.
- The terminal has access to the Central European Pipeline System (CEPS) for efficient fuel supply.
- SAF reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over its life cycle compared to conventional jet fuel.
Expansion of SAF Supply
Neste has expanded its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply capabilities in Europe by commissioning terminal capacity at VTTI’s ETT terminal in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This facility will be used for the storage and blending of Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™.
Strategic Location
The terminal is situated in one of Europe’s largest fuel logistics hubs, providing access to the Central European Pipeline System (CEPS). This strategic location will enable a more sustainable and efficient fuel supply to customers and airports across Europe.
Production and Infrastructure
Neste is ramping up SAF production at its renewables refinery in Singapore and nearing completion of modifications at its Rotterdam renewables refinery to enable SAF production. These efforts are part of Neste’s ongoing global expansion of SAF production and supply capabilities.
Environmental Impact
Sustainable aviation fuel offers a renewable alternative to conventional, fossil-based jet fuel. Neste’s SAF, made from 100% renewable waste and residue raw materials like used cooking oil and animal fat waste, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over its life cycle compared to conventional jet fuel.
