Increased SAF Production
Neste has commenced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production at its Rotterdam refinery, enhancing its global SAF production capacity to 1.5 million tons annually. The refinery modifications allow for up to 500,000 tons of SAF production per year.
Strategic Expansion in Rotterdam
Neste is investing in a strategic growth project at the Rotterdam site, aiming to more than double its production capacity to 2.7 million tons of renewable products annually by 2027. This expansion will make the Rotterdam facility the largest in the world for renewable diesel and SAF production.
Global Renewable Fuels Capacity
With the Rotterdam expansion, Neste's total global renewable fuels production capacity is set to reach 6.8 million tons annually. The company's SAF production capability will increase to 2.2 million tons per year.
Additional Production Sites
In addition to the Rotterdam refinery, Neste operates SAF production facilities in Singapore and Porvoo, Finland, contributing to its global renewable fuels output.
