Refinery Expansion
Dangote Group has partnered with Honeywell International to expand its petroleum refinery's capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day by 2028. Honeywell will provide advanced technology and services, including specialized catalysts and equipment, to process a wider range of crude grades efficiently.
Polypropylene Production
The collaboration will also enhance Dangote's petrochemical operations, increasing polypropylene capacity to 2.4 million metric tons annually using Honeywell's Oleflex technology. Polypropylene is essential for packaging, manufacturing, and automotive applications.
Urea Production Growth
Dangote Group plans to triple its urea production capacity from 3 million to 9 million metric tons annually. The expansion will add four new trains to the existing two, addressing the rising demand for high-quality fertilizer in Africa and global markets.
