- Honeywell will deploy digital performance monitoring and connected services (Honeywell Performance+ and Honeywell Forge) at Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lekki, Nigeria.
- Operator Training Simulators built from digital twins will let operators train in realistic scenarios and test actions safely.
- The refinery produces Euro-V gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and polypropylene, employs over 3,000 Nigerians, and is designed to meet domestic demand with surplus for export.
- Honeywell's refining technologies target capacity growth from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day within three years.
Scope of engagement
Honeywell will deploy connected services and digital performance monitoring across core processing units at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, the world’s largest single‑train refinery, to raise high‑octane fuel output and improve equipment reliability.
Digital tools
The deployment uses Honeywell Performance+ services and the Honeywell Forge platform with UOP engineering support to deliver real‑time operational insights that identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
Training
Operator Training Simulators built from digital twins of the refinery will enable realistic, safe operator training and scenario testing to build local workforce capability.
