Honeywell to boost fuel output and train operators at Dangote Refinery

Scope of engagement
Honeywell will deploy connected services and digital performance monitoring across core processing units at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, the world’s largest single‑train refinery, to raise high‑octane fuel output and improve equipment reliability.
Digital tools
The deployment uses Honeywell Performance+ services and the Honeywell Forge platform with UOP engineering support to deliver real‑time operational insights that identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
Training
Operator Training Simulators built from digital twins of the refinery will enable realistic, safe operator training and scenario testing to build local workforce capability.
Products and capacity
The facility produces Euro‑V gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and polypropylene, employs more than 3,000 Nigerian workers, is designed to meet domestic demand with surplus for export, and is targeted to grow capacity from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day within three years.
