About RVO

Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, RVO) is a Dutch government agency under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. It implements national and EU policy by administering subsidy schemes, permits and advisory services for businesses, knowledge institutions and public authorities in the fields of innovation, sustainability, energy and agriculture. RVO also includes the Netherlands Patent Office and manages various international cooperation programs.

For the chemical and process industries, RVO oversees instruments such as SDE++ and other grants and fiscal incentives (e.g., EIA, MIA/Vamil) that support renewable energy, industrial electrification, hydrogen, green gas, circular and bio-based materials, energy efficiency and carbon capture/utilisation. The agency provides guidance, data and compliance information to help companies plan and finance decarbonisation projects and align with Dutch and EU policy objectives.
