Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC) is the wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron operating in Angola since 1954. It holds operated interests in key concessions, including Block 0 offshore Cabinda province (39.2% stake) and deepwater Block 14 (31% stake), ranking among Angola's top oil and gas producers. CABGOC manages exploration, development, and production activities, with recent milestones such as first oil from the South N'dola platform in Block 0 (2025) and the Sanha Lean Gas Connection project delivering gas to the Angola LNG plant.
In the New Gas Consortium (NGC), CABGOC holds a 31% non-operated stake alongside Azule Energy (operator, 37.4%), Sonangol E&P (19.8%), and TotalEnergies (11.8%). The consortium develops Angola's first non-associated gas fields, including Quiluma, supplying the Angola LNG facility for export to European and Asian markets and domestic use, with production ramping to 330 MMSCF/day by end-2026.
Chevron Angola, through CABGOC, employs mostly local workforce and focuses on long-term partnerships with the Angolan government and national oil company ANPG.
