Moeve has started construction on the Onuba 300 MW green hydrogen project. The milestone at the La Rábida Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera was reported last Thursday, marking the first phase of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley.

The project is Moeve's first digitally-native facility, incorporating a digital twin and unified IoT platform from the design stage. It holds EU Project of Common Interest status and has received €304 million in Spanish government funding. It forms part of a €2.4 billion Andalusian energy transition investment that includes a 2G biofuels plant, positioning the site as Europe's largest green molecules hub. Output targets hard-to-abate sectors and supports Moeve's refinery decarbonization with potential for renewable fuels and exports.

Post-FID execution: detailed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) are in progress, with physical work underway on site.
