thyssenkrupp nucera signed an engineering, procurement, fabrication and supply contract to deliver 300 MW of alkaline water electrolysis equipment (15 standardized 20‑MW electrolyzer units) for Moeve’s Onuba project at the La Rábida Energy Park in Huelva, Spain.
Capacity and impact
Onuba, the first phase of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, has a nominal production capacity of about 45,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by roughly 250,000 tonnes annually.
