Project Launch
The Tengiz Gas Separation Complex (GSC) project has officially commenced in the Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan. The project is spearheaded by KMGPetrochem, a subsidiary of KazMunaiGas, with Tecnimont responsible for engineering, procurement, and commissioning.
Technical Scope
The facility is designed to recover at least 98% of ethane from dry gas. Its output will support the second phase of the Silleno petrochemical complex, which focuses on polyethylene production.
Local Engagement
A Local Content Forum was held to involve the local industry in the GSC project. Approximately 400 Kazakh companies participated, aiming to integrate local businesses and stakeholders into the project activities.
