Technip has secured a €60 million lumpsum engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from CEPSA for a hydrogen plant at the Huelva refinery in Spain.
Project Execution
The project will be executed by Technip's operations and engineering center in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, with support from the center in Barcelona, Spain. The plant will utilize Technip's proprietary technology.
Plant Capacity and Technology
The hydrogen plant will have a capacity of 68,700m3/hour and will produce high-quality steam using Technip's segregated/dual steam system.
Timeline
The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2009. It is part of CEPSA's expansion plan to meet the growing demand for middle distillates in Spain.
