SkyNRG's Project Wigeon: Expanding SAF Production in the U.S.

Key highlights
  • SkyNRG's Project Wigeon will produce 50 million gallons of SAF annually.
  • The facility is located in Washington state to serve West Coast markets.
  • Boeing and other partners have off-take agreements for the SAF produced.

SAF Production Expansion

SkyNRG is addressing the rising demand for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by developing Project Wigeon, its first production facility in the United States. The facility aims to produce 50 million gallons, or 150,000 tonnes, of SAF annually.

Strategic Location

Located in Washington state, the facility is strategically positioned to supply SAF to major airports in the region. This location also allows SkyNRG to tap into West Coast markets that have implemented Clean Fuel Standard (CFS) policies.

Partnerships and Agreements

The project is supported by The Boeing Company and other partners, who have entered into off-take agreements to purchase the SAF produced at the facility. These partnerships are crucial for ensuring a steady demand for the fuel.
