Sasol Limited is a South African integrated chemicals and energy company with operations across Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Sandton, Johannesburg, Sasol is known for developing and commercializing Fischer–Tropsch technology to convert coal and natural gas into liquid fuels and chemical products. The company is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (SOL) and the New York Stock Exchange (SSL).

Sasol’s Energy business spans coal mining, synthetic fuels production, natural gas exploration and production (notably in Mozambique), and pipeline gas distribution through Sasol Gas, as well as fuels marketing via Sasol Oil. Its Chemicals business produces base chemicals such as ethylene, propylene, and polymers, and performance chemicals including surfactants, solvents, and waxes used in consumer goods, industrial, and transportation applications. Key manufacturing sites include complexes in South Africa and a large chemicals hub in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA.
