Executive changes
Sven Utermöhlen will leave RWE Offshore Wind at his own request on 30 September 2026 and will continue to advise the offshore wind business for six to twelve months; CTO Tobias Keitel will become CEO on 1 October 2026 and Julian Garnsey will assume the CTO role the same day.
Management team and responsibilities
The Management Board under the new CEO will continue to include CFO Gunhild Grieve, CCO Ulf Kerstin and COO Thomas Michel. Tobias Keitel has been a board member since 15 September 2025 and, as current CTO, is responsible for engineering, procurement and construction and HSSE, leading implementation of major offshore projects under construction. Julian Garnsey has been with RWE for more than 20 years, has held senior roles in development, engineering and construction, and since 2023 has led offshore wind construction as Director of Construction & Project Delivery.
