MOL Group to Resume Crude Exports from Kurdistan

Agreement Details

MOL Plc. has signed agreements with international exploration and production companies, the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the Federal Government of Iraq to restart international crude exports from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

Pipeline Reopening

The crude oil pipeline from KRI to the Turkish port city of Ceyhan, which has been closed to exports since spring 2023, is expected to reopen in the coming days.

Impact on Shaikan Oil Field

MOL holds a 20% interest in the Shaikan oil field. The reopening of the pipeline is anticipated to positively affect price realization for MOL.

Production Figures

In the first half of 2025, MOL's production share in the Shaikan oil field amounted to 4.6 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (mboepd), representing 5% of the Group's total hydrocarbon production.
