MAIRE’s Sustainable Technology Solutions unit received new awards with an aggregate value of approximately €50 million, covering projects located in Asia, Europe and North America.

Urea project scope

Stamicarbon will provide licensing, Process Design Package (PDP) and proprietary equipment for an around 3,500 metric tons per day (MTPD) grassroots urea plant in Asia based on its Ultra‑Low Energy (ULE) NX STAMI™ Urea design aimed at lowering steam consumption and operating costs. Separately, Stamicarbon will supply three proprietary high‑pressure urea strippers to SKW Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz in Germany; the equipment incorporates advanced design features to debottleneck the plant, reduce high‑pressure steam use and enhance liquid distribution reliability. Stamicarbon was also awarded a PDP contract for a new grassroots urea plant in Canada with an expected capacity of approximately 1,150 short tons per day (STPD) using the LAUNCH MELT™ Conventional Total Recycle technology to support the FEED phase.

Plastic upcycling feasibility

Nextchem won a feasibility study from a Turkish integrated waste management and renewable energy company to design a mechanical plastic upcycling plant in Türkiye. The plant is to be based on Nextchem’s NX Replast™ technology and designed to process 40,000 tonnes per year of mixed polyolefin waste (PP and HDPE), converting purified streams into compounded recycled polymers.
