Contract Overview

NEXTCHEM has secured a €485 million contract to provide licensing, process design packages, and critical equipment for three large-scale complexes in West Africa. The project involves the development of nitrogen fertilizer plants utilizing proprietary technologies.

Project Scope

The scope includes five hydrogen units, five ammonia units, and multiple urea melt and granulation units across three locations. The third plant will integrate ammonia and methanol co-production, with capacities of 900,000 tons of ammonia and 600,000 tons of methanol annually.

Technological Details

The hydrogen units will use NX AdWinHydrogen® technology, while ammonia production will rely on NX STAMI™ Ammonia technology. Urea production will utilize NX STAMI™ Urea technology, focusing on energy efficiency and high-quality output. The ammonia-methanol co-production will employ NX AdWin® Combined technology.

Current Status

Engineering activities have commenced, with €10 million recognized in the pre-FID phase. The remaining contract value will be recognized upon the final investment decision.
