Project overview
Fluor was selected by America First Refining to perform the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for a new large-scale refinery to be built in Brownsville, Texas; this will be the first new U.S. refinery in more than 50 years.
Capacity and feedstock
The facility is expected to process more than 60 million barrels per year of domestic shale crude, intended to support U.S. energy resilience.
Products and technology
The refinery is planned to produce gasoline, diesel and jet fuel and will use commercially proven technologies aimed at clean and efficient processing of American shale oil.
