Operational Compounding Line
Borealis has launched a new compounding line in Beringen, Belgium, which is now fully operational. This facility focuses on producing high-quality, recyclate-based polyolefins (rPO) to meet demanding application requirements.
Advanced Recycling Technology
The line utilizes Borealis' proprietary Borcycle™ M mechanical recycling technology. This technology combines post-consumer and virgin polyolefins to create rigid polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) compounds suitable for various sectors, including mobility, consumer products, appliances, and energy.
Facility Capabilities
The Beringen facility is designed to process a wide range of recyclate flakes, offering versatility to meet diverse customer needs. It also serves as a collaborative platform, enabling customers to co-develop and test new solutions for high-value applications using recycled plastics.
