Operational Compounding Line

Borealis has launched a new compounding line for recyclate-based polyolefins (rPO) in Beringen, Belgium. This facility is now fully operational and aims to support circularity and sustainability goals.

Advanced Recycling Technology

The line utilizes Borealis' Borcycle M mechanical recycling technology, which combines post-consumer and virgin polyolefins. This process produces rigid polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) compounds suitable for demanding applications in mobility, consumer products, appliances, and energy sectors.

Versatile Processing Capabilities

The Beringen facility is designed to handle a wide range of recyclate flakes, offering versatility to meet diverse customer needs. It also serves as a collaborative platform for developing and testing new solutions that incorporate recycled plastics into high-value applications.

Strategic Acquisitions

Borealis has strengthened its position in the circular economy for plastics through recent acquisitions of Rialti and Integra Plastics. These moves complement the new compounding line and enhance Borealis' capabilities in providing high-quality recyclate-based materials.
