Next steps
The company is now continuing integrated start‑up activities and preparing for the production of the first batches of FDCA while completing qualification activities. Hero de Jager, interim Chief Operations Officer, said the company's focus shifts to producing the first batches and to commencing commercial deliveries under existing offtake agreements as planned.
Commercial ramp‑up
Avantium expects commercial deliveries under existing offtake agreements to commence at the end of 2026, subject to successful start‑up and product qualification. Ramp‑up to full design capacity is expected to take approximately 24 months following start‑up, and successful completion of start‑up is anticipated to provide commercial‑scale validation of the FDCA technology and support licensing discussions.
