Installation

Avangrid completed installation of more than 250,000 solar panels assembled by SEG Solar at its new Houston, Texas factory for the Tower Solar project in Morrow County, Oregon.

Capacity and grid connection

The project has 120 MWac of installed capacity and is expected to come online later this year, supplying electricity to the Portland General Electric grid and supporting a QTS data center campus.

Jobs and economic impact

Construction created over 200 jobs, mostly filled by local workers, and the project is expected to generate about $20 million in economic contributions to fund regional public services, including education.
