Avangrid Networks, Inc. is the regulated utility subsidiary of Avangrid, Inc., a U.S. energy company majority owned by Iberdrola S.A. It owns and operates electric and natural gas transmission and distribution utilities across the U.S. Northeast.
The company’s operating utilities include Central Maine Power (ME), New York State Electric & Gas and Rochester Gas & Electric (NY), The United Illuminating Company (CT), Berkshire Gas (MA), and Maine Natural Gas (ME). Through these businesses, Avangrid Networks delivers electricity and natural gas to roughly 3.3 million customers in New York and New England.
For industrial sectors—including chemicals—the company’s role centers on reliable power and gas delivery, grid interconnections for new and expanded loads, and integration of distributed and utility-scale renewable generation.
