About PGE

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. (PGE) is Poland’s largest power utility and a majority state-controlled energy group. The company generates, distributes, and sells electricity and heat nationwide. Its asset base includes lignite- and hard coal–fired power stations, gas-fired and combined heat and power plants, and renewable sources such as wind, solar, and hydro. PGE also operates lignite mining assets that supply key generating units.

Through subsidiaries including PGE Dystrybucja, PGE Obrót, and PGE Energia Ciepła, the group manages one of the country’s largest electricity distribution networks, supplies power to industrial, commercial, and residential customers, and operates extensive district heating systems. PGE is advancing Poland’s energy transition by expanding renewables—particularly offshore wind in the Baltic Sea via PGE Baltica—alongside investments in grid modernization, energy storage, and lower‑emission generation.
