Deal terms

ADNOC signed a multi‑year Sales and Purchase Agreement with Gulf Group for the supply of liquefied natural gas into Thailand. ADNOC Trading will deliver approximately 2 million tonnes of LNG to Gulf Group over the contract term, with deliveries starting in 2027.

Platform and strategy

The agreement was enabled by ADNOC’s global LNG marketing and trading platform, launched in Abu Dhabi Global Market in July 2026. The platform consolidates ADNOC's LNG marketing and trading capabilities into a single integrated commercial operation intended to enhance flexibility, shipping optionality and global customer access. ADNOC is targeting 47 mtpa of marketable LNG beyond 2030.

Background and commercial context

The SPA builds on an initial LNG supply agreement between the parties signed in 2025 and on ADNOC Trading’s direct deliveries to Asia. ADNOC Trading has developed a significant third‑party LNG portfolio within four years, is ranked among top global LNG financial traders, and maintains offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Geneva.
