Eni and Gulf Development Sign Long-Term LNG Agreement

Agreement Details

Eni has signed a long-term LNG sales agreement with Thailand's Gulf Development Company. Under this agreement, Eni will supply 0.8 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG for a duration of 10 years, starting in 2027. The LNG will be delivered to regasification terminals in Thailand.

Previous Collaboration

This new contract builds on a previous 2-year agreement between Eni and Gulf Development, signed in 2024, for the supply of approximately 0.5 MTPA of LNG starting in 2025.

Strategic Expansion

This deal marks Eni's first long-term LNG supply to Thailand, aligning with its strategy to strengthen its presence in Asia. Eni aims to diversify its global LNG footprint and expand its customer base in high-potential markets.

Future Goals

Eni plans to grow its LNG portfolio to approximately 20 MTPA by 2030, leveraging projects in countries such as Congo, Mozambique, the US, and Indonesia.
