Platform and purpose

ADNOC launched an integrated LNG marketing and trading platform in Abu Dhabi Global Market, combining the marketing activities of ADNOC Gas and XRG with the trading capabilities of ADNOC Trading to increase flexibility, shipping optionality and global customer access.

Scale and target

The platform targets 47 million tonnes per annum of combined marketable LNG by 2035, aiming to rank among the leading global LNG players and to support expanding LNG volumes including Ruwais LNG and XRG’s international growth.

Governance and commercial setup

Rashid Al Mazrouei was appointed Chief Marketing & Origination Officer (LNG) to oversee marketing of the combined equity LNG portfolios and to centralize long-term LNG marketing from ADGM; ADNOC Trading will remain the counterparty for trading activities with no change to existing customer interfaces.

Trading, shipping and supply

ADNOC Trading has built a significant third-party LNG portfolio and is ranked among top global LNG financial traders with offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Geneva. ADNOC Trading’s LNG shipping desk ranked among the top global LNG charterers in 2025, and ADNOC L&S has expanded its owned fleet to 20 vessels, including 14 modern two-stroke carriers.
