A new butadiene unit in Hungary and an LDPE unit in Slovakia mark key milestones. A synthetic rubber plant is also planned. These projects enhance competitiveness and expand the product portfolio.

A new 1,150 ton/day nitric acid plant will be built in Pétfürdö, Hungary, with completion in 2017. The project includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.

The pipeline's capacity was increased from 3.5 to 6 million tons annually, enhancing energy security for Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. The project cost USD 80 million and took less than a year.

The company is replacing its mercury-based chlorine unit with a membrane plant by Dec 2017. A new 8000 m3 caustic soda tank will be operational from Jan 2015 to ensure stable supplies.

A new granulation plant with a daily capacity of 1,550 tons of AN or 1,960 tons of CAN will start in Pétfürdö in fall 2016. Engineering and procurement by ThyssenKrupp; installation by the customer.

The new TDI plant in Kazincbarcika, Hungary, has a capacity of 160 kilotons/year, expandable to 200. It enhances production efficiency and supports Wanhua's global growth strategy.

New TDI plant and MDI plant revamp in Hungary will boost capacity and quality. MDI plant shutdown for seven weeks may cause disruptions, but aims to meet future market needs.
