Autoridad Portuaria de Huelva

Autoridad Portuaria de Huelva (Port Authority of Huelva) is the public entity that manages and develops the Port of Huelva in Andalusia, Spain. As part of Spain’s state-owned port system (Puertos del Estado), it oversees port planning, infrastructure, concessions, operations, safety, and environmental management across the inner and outer harbors located on the Tinto and Odiel estuaries.

The Port of Huelva is one of the Iberian Peninsula’s leading ports for liquid bulk and energy-related cargoes. The authority facilitates the import and export of crude and refined products, petrochemicals, LNG, industrial gases, and other chemical commodities, alongside dry bulk and general cargo. Its facilities include deep-water berths, storage and tank farm areas, pipeline connectivity, and multimodal rail and road links that serve nearby industrial complexes and the wider hinterland. Through these capabilities, the port acts as a logistics hub for the regional chemical and energy cluster, supporting supply chains across Spain, Europe, and Atlantic trade routes.

The authority’s mandate includes coordinating maritime traffic, ensuring navigational safety, and managing land-use and concessions to industrial operators, logistics providers, and service companies, with attention to environmental protections in a sensitive estuarine setting.
