Ørsted A/S

About Ørsted

Ørsted A/S is a Danish renewable energy company that develops, builds, owns, and operates wind, solar, and related infrastructure, with a leading position in offshore wind. Formerly known as DONG Energy, the company rebranded as Ørsted in 2017 following its exit from upstream oil and gas. It operates across Europe, North America, and the Asia–Pacific region and is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen.

For the chemical and process industries, Ørsted provides long-term renewable electricity supply and is advancing Power-to-X solutions, including renewable hydrogen and green fuels such as e-methanol and ammonia, to help decarbonize heat, power, and feedstocks in hard-to-abate value chains. The company also develops onshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects, and operates bioenergy and district heating assets in Denmark, enabling integrated pathways to reduce industrial emissions.
