Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar is a UAE-based renewable energy and sustainable development company headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Established in 2006, it is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), and Mubadala Investment Company.

Masdar develops, invests in, and operates utility-scale renewable energy assets, including solar photovoltaic and concentrated solar power, onshore and offshore wind, and waste-to-energy projects. Its global portfolio spans multiple regions, with projects in operation and development across dozens of countries. The company also oversees Masdar City, a sustainable urban district and business hub focused on clean-tech innovation.

For the chemical sector, Masdar is active in green hydrogen and related power-to-X value chains, including green ammonia for industrial and maritime applications. It is developing electrolysis-based projects integrated with renewable power and has stated ambitions to scale capacity significantly by 2030 through partnerships with utilities, industrials, and governments.
