Its role Investor / Financier
Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) serves as Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, tasked with attracting and deploying long-term capital to bolster the nation's economic growth and global competitiveness. Established in December 2020 pursuant to Government Regulation No. 74 of 2020, it functions as a sui generis entity that combines public accountability with professional investment management practices.
The fund focuses on strategic sectors critical to Indonesia's development, including transportation and logistics infrastructure, digital technologies, green and blue economies, healthcare systems, and advanced materials. Through co-investments with international partners, INA aims to generate commercial returns while facilitating technology transfer, job creation, and sustainable socio-economic progress across the archipelago.
Wholly owned by the Government of Indonesia and headquartered in Jakarta, INA manages assets exceeding IDR 146 trillion. It has secured commitments from over 40 global partners across 15 countries, mobilizing substantial additional capital. As the smaller of Indonesia's two sovereign wealth funds alongside Danantara, INA emphasizes disciplined governance, adherence to the Santiago Principles, and full membership in the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds.
Operating through specialized subsidiaries, the authority invests in equity, hybrid instruments, and private credit to support priority projects without direct operational involvement in assets.
Also known as LPI and Investment Management Agency.
