Harbour Energy plc is a UK-based independent oil and gas exploration and production company, formed in 2021 through the combination of Chrysaor Holdings and Premier Oil. Headquartered in London, it is one of the largest independent producers in the UK North Sea, supplying natural gas and oil to UK and European markets. The company operates and holds interests across a portfolio of offshore fields and associated infrastructure, with additional international positions.
Harbour Energy is also developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) capabilities that leverage its subsurface expertise and offshore assets. It leads the Viking CCS project in the UK Southern North Sea, a UK government “Track-2” CCUS cluster designed to transport and permanently store captured CO₂ from industrial regions such as the Humber and East Midlands. These activities are relevant to energy-intensive sectors, including chemicals, by supporting lower-carbon production through access to CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure.
