About EIFO

The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) is Denmark’s state-owned export credit and investment institution. Established in 2023 by consolidating the country’s public export credit and growth financing entities, its mandate is to strengthen Danish exports and investments at home and abroad, with a strong focus on supporting the green transition.

EIFO provides guarantees, loans, export credits, and equity/co-investments, including buyer and supplier credits, project financing, and working-capital solutions. It works alongside commercial banks and other export credit agencies to share risk on domestic and cross-border transactions. Serving companies from SMEs to large corporates across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, maritime, manufacturing, and chemicals, EIFO helps enable capital-intensive projects and international trade under the policy oversight of the Danish government.
