About Carbios

Carbios is a French biotechnology and green-chemistry company focused on developing and industrializing enzyme-based solutions for plastics circularity. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, the company’s core technology enables the enzymatic depolymerization of PET from bottles, trays, and textiles back into its original monomers, allowing the production of recycled PET with properties comparable to virgin material.

Beyond PET recycling, Carbios also develops enzyme-enabled solutions aimed at improving the end-of-life of bioplastics such as PLA. The company operates a demonstration facility in Clermont-Ferrand and is advancing industrial-scale deployment of its processes. Carbios collaborates across packaging and textile value chains through industry consortia and partnerships, and holds a broad intellectual property portfolio covering its enzymatic processes. Carbios is listed on Euronext Growth Paris (ticker: ALCRB).
