Royal opening marks start of a 50,000 t/yr tyre pyrolysis plant producing marine fuel, circular naphtha, recovered carbon black and tyre pyrolysis oil; modular expansion to 200,000 t/yr planned.

The joint venture will produce biogas and e-SAF, aiming for 40 million Nm³ of biogas annually, supporting Denmark's carbon neutrality goals and expanding bioenergy solutions.

Acquisition connects Amsterdam granulate plant to Delfzijl chemical recycling, creating a vertical chain from tyre collection to recycled chemicals, recovered carbon black and renewable fuels.

The €150M funding will build Europe's largest tyre pyrolysis recycling facility in Delfzijl, converting waste tyres into sustainable fuels and chemicals, reducing emissions and supporting circular economy.

The new factory will convert 200,000 tons of used tires into green chemicals, reducing CO2 emissions by 5% of the Dutch chemical sector and creating over 120 jobs. Expansion is planned for 2027-2028.

€150m financing (incl. €22.5m Dutch grants) will fund Europe’s largest end‑of‑life tyre pyrolysis facility in Delfzijl, with full offtake deals in place and significant emissions benefits.

Eight-year take-or-pay purchase for renewable drop-in marine fuel and circular naphtha; €12.5M debt for first-phase €100M capex; plant to process 200,000 t/yr of waste tyres, phase one in 2025.

The plant will produce 200,000 tons of biofuels annually, create 150 jobs, and generate €200 million in tax revenue. Construction starts in 2017, with operations by 2019.
