TotalEnergies to Supply 1 GW Solar Power to Google's Texas Data Centers

Key highlights
  • TotalEnergies signs PPAs to deliver 1 GW solar power to Google's Texas data centers.
  • The power will be generated from Wichita (805 MWp) and Mustang Creek (195 MWp) sites.
  • Construction is scheduled to begin in Q2 2026.
  • Several hundred jobs will be created during construction, boosting local tax revenue.

Project Overview

TotalEnergies has signed two long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to supply 1 GW of solar capacity to Google's data centers in Texas. This will generate 28 TWh of renewable electricity over 15 years.

Site Details

The solar power will be sourced from two TotalEnergies-owned sites in Texas: Wichita with 805 MWp and Mustang Creek with 195 MWp. Construction is set to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

Local Impact

The development of these solar farms will create several hundred jobs during the construction phase and provide substantial tax revenues to support public services in the local communities.

Additional Context

These agreements complement other PPAs totaling 1.2 GW secured by Clearway, a company partly owned by TotalEnergies, to support Google's data centers across various U.S. markets.
