Project Overview
TotalEnergies, through its affiliate TotalEnergies EP Uganda, has published an independent assessment of the land acquisition, resettlement, and livelihood restoration program for the Tilenga Project in Uganda. The assessment was conducted by Land & People Planning Ltd.
Assessment Findings
The review covered the districts of Buliisa, Hoima, and Kikuube, confirming that the program aligns with the project's commitments and IFC Performance Standard 5, with no material systemic deficiencies. Compensation, replacement housing, and most livelihood mitigations are completed, positioning the project for Resettlement Action Plan closure.
