Background

Following prior announcements on December 1, 2025 and July 30, 2026, Teijin Limited reported that Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd. (surviving company) and Asahi Kasei Advance Corporation (absorbed company) have completed an absorption-type merger as scheduled.

Integration objectives

The integrated company will combine both firms' customer bases and business platforms to broaden market reach, expand product and service offerings, and strengthen capabilities to address customer challenges with the aim of achieving sustainable growth and enhancing corporate value.

Status after the integration

The merged company is named TA Frontier Co., Ltd., located at Nakanoshima Festival Tower West, 2-4 Nakanoshima 3-chome, Kita-ku, Osaka. Susumu Kamata serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Line of business covers manufacturing, processing, sale and import/export of polyester and other raw yarns and staple fibers, textiles, apparel, vehicle materials, chemicals, interior and construction materials, industrial materials and consumer products. Capital is 2.0 billion yen, and shareholders are Teijin (80%) and Asahi Kasei (20%). Fiscal year-end is March 31.

Financial outlook

The impact of the integration on consolidated results was already included in the full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, announced on August 4, 2026, and there is no change to that forecast.
