Project Overview
Technip Energies, leading a joint venture with Consolidated Contractors Company and Gulf Asia Contracting, has secured an EPCC contract from QatarEnergy for the North Field West (NFW) project. This involves the construction of two LNG mega trains, each with a capacity of 8 million tons per annum (MTPA).
Capacity Expansion
The NFW project will significantly boost Qatar's LNG export capacity. Combined with the North Field East (NFE) and North Field South (NFS) projects, it will increase the total capacity from 77 MTPA to 142 MTPA.
Environmental Impact
The NFW and NFS projects will capture and sequestrate an additional 1.1 MTPA of CO2 each, totaling 2.2 MTPA, contributing to reduced carbon emissions.
