Abreu e Lima (RNEST) Delayed Coking Unit and Derivatives Hit Records
- Delayed Coking Unit averaged approximately 10,888 m³/day in August, exceeding the prior 10,615 m³/day record from September 2016.
- LPG production reached 10,089 tons in August, about 2.9% above the previous record registered in May this year.
- Petrochemical naphtha output reached 99,912 m³ in August, roughly 19.7% higher than the prior record from January 2017.
- Green petroleum coke production hit 63,607.8 tons in August, about 7.4% above the previous record registered in May 2026.
UCR throughput
In August the Delayed Coking Unit (UCR) at the Abreu e Lima Refinery (RNEST) recorded a new historic average processed load of approximately 10,888 m³ per day, surpassing the previous record of 10,615 m³/d achieved in September 2016.
Derivatives production records
RNEST set historic monthly production highs in several derivatives in August: liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) reached 10,089 tons, about 2.9% above the prior record registered in May this year; petrochemical naphtha reached 99,912 m³, approximately 19.7% above the previous record from January 2017; and green petroleum coke (CVP) reached 63,607.8 tons, roughly 7.4% above the prior record registered in May 2026.
Operational outcome
The refinery attributed the results to operational performance, noting the expanded processing and derivatives production capacity which supports its ability to meet market demand.
