Project Overview

Worley has been appointed to deliver engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCm) services for the Brockman Syncline 1 (BS1) iron ore project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The project aims to extend the life of the Brockman region and is set to process up to 34 million tonnes of iron ore annually by 2027.

Scope of Work

The EPCm services include the construction of a new primary crusher, an overland conveyor, a non-process infrastructure precinct, and a temporary camp for construction workers. Worley’s team in Perth will execute these services, with support from their Global Integrated Delivery team based in India.

Timeline and Capacity

The BS1 project is scheduled to process its first ore by 2027, leveraging existing plants to achieve its target capacity. This development follows Worley’s completion of the Definitive Engineering Study phase for the project.
