Polynt Group plans to expand Malic Acid capacity by 8000 T/Y to meet market demand. The new plant will be operational by the end of 2016, increasing total capacity to 22,000 T/Y. Malic Acid consumption is growing in food, beverage, confectionery, and technical industries.
In order to meet the strong increasing market demand, Polynt Group is planning to expand its Malic Acid capacity by 8000 T/Y. The new plant will be realized in one of the Polynt sites and it is expected to be in operation by the end of 2016.
Once this investment will be completed, Polynt will reach a total capacity of 22.000 T/Y taking advantage of the Maleic Anhydride integration (main raw material of Malic Acid), becoming the largest producer worldwide (Polynt Management estimation).
Malic Acid consumption is continuously growing worldwide, driven by the following application sectors:
- Food and beverage.
- Confectioneries, preserves and bakery product.
- Technical (metal cleaning, electroplating, water treatment, textile industry).
