Testwork partnership

PMET has commenced a strategic testwork program with Koch Technology Solutions (KTS) to evaluate advanced processing pathways for caesium chemicals derived from pollucite concentrates at its 100%-owned Shaakichiuwaanaan Project in James Bay, Quebec. The program is designed to leverage KTS’s processing technologies and technical expertise, and is planned to run for approximately four months to develop preliminary process pathways for value‑added caesium compounds.

Resource context

The Shaakichiuwaanaan Property hosts the world’s largest in‑situ pollucite‑hosted caesium pegmatite Mineral Resource in the CV13 Pegmatite, with multiple mineralised zones (Vega, Rigel and Helios). Reported caesium resources for CV13 are 0.69 Mt at 4.40% Cs2O (Indicated) and 1.70 Mt at 2.40% Cs2O (Inferred), and mineralisation remains open in several areas.

Objectives and target markets

The program aims to convert pollucite concentrates into a range of value‑added caesium chemical products and to test proprietary recovery techniques. PMET positions the work as a potential pathway into US industrial supply chains serving defence, aerospace, energy and advanced electronics, and is also assessing downstream applications including oil and gas, catalysts, pharmaceuticals and next‑generation terrestrial solar panels.

Next steps and timeline
