Perpetual Next names JPB Logistics for Farmsum biomethanol storage

Partnership
Perpetual Next has designated JPB Logistics as the preferred partner for storage and handling of biomethanol at its Farmsum (Delfzijl) plant. Under the intended collaboration, JPB will handle storage, transshipment and delivery of biomethanol to external customers.
Project and developer
The Delfzijl project is being developed by DeltaNor B.V., a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Perpetual Next, and DeltaNor is responsible for construction, financing, maintenance and operation of a biomethanol plant with a production capacity of 220,000 tons per year. The plant is part of Perpetual Next's programme to convert biogenic carbon streams into renewable products including biomethanol.
Storage and logistics
Current agreements set out the parties' intention to enter a definitive storage agreement targeting 21,000 to 35,000 gross m³ of capacity depending on the final configuration. The proposed logistics concept relies on incoming pipelines and outgoing inland shipping via dedicated pipes, with truck loading and unloading as a backup. JPB cites its terminal and berth infrastructure in Farmsum as capable of supporting the required safe and efficient logistics.
Conditions
The collaboration remains subject to conditions including Perpetual Next's final investment decision for the Delfzijl project, successful project execution and agreement on final commercial terms.
