Project Overview
Peróxidos do Brasil is constructing a myH₂O₂® satellite hydrogen peroxide plant in Inocência, Brazil, to supply Arauco’s Sucuriú project. This development supports one of the world's largest pulp mills, enhancing supply reliability and sustainability in Brazil's Pulp Valley.
Production Capacity
The new unit will be installed directly on-site at Arauco’s mill, producing 25,000 tons of hydrogen peroxide per year. This will fully meet Arauco’s demand, with any surplus available to the local market.
Technological Advancements
The plant will feature advanced automation for seamless integration and operational efficiency. The myH₂O₂® technology, developed by Solvay, reduces transport distances and environmental impact by bringing production closer to customers in remote or infrastructure-limited regions.
Investment and Timeline
Arauco’s Sucuriú Project represents a US$4.6 billion investment and will be one of the world’s largest single-line pulp mills, with an annual production capacity of 3.5 million tons of bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp. The mill is expected to begin operations by 2028.
