This contract ensures continued gas supply to the Ukrainian market, enhancing energy security ahead of the heating season.

Previous Agreements

This marks the fourth gas supply contract between ORLEN and Naftogaz in 2025, with the previous three contracts totaling approximately 300 million cubic metres. The gas was regasified LNG imported from the United States via the Świnoujście or Klaipėda terminals.

Strategic Cooperation

The contract stems from a commercial cooperation framework signed in March 2025, focusing on natural gas LNG. Naftogaz is diversifying its gas supply sources and routes, enhancing Ukraine's energy security amid ongoing conflict with Russia. The additional contract for American LNG is crucial for the upcoming winter heating season.

ORLEN's Market Presence

ORLEN has been active in the Ukrainian market for over two decades, supplying fuels from its refineries in Poland and Lithuania. Deliveries continued despite Russian aggression starting in February 2022. ORLEN has become the largest fuel supplier to Ukraine, providing gasoline, diesel oil, and bitumen.

Further Agreements

In 2025, ORLEN and Naftogaz signed two additional agreements focusing on LNG and natural gas sales and expanding strategic collaboration. ORLEN also participates in sector events like Petroleum Ukraine Warsaw ’25 to strengthen business ties with Ukrainian partners.
