Singapore Refinery Milestone
Neste's Singapore refinery, operational since 2010, marked its 15th anniversary. Initially the world's largest renewable diesel facility, it expanded in 2023 to include sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production. This expansion increased its total renewable product capacity to 2.6 million tons annually, covering renewable diesel, SAF, and renewable raw materials for polymers and chemicals. The Singapore site is pivotal in Neste's global operations, enhancing its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Porvoo Refinery Legacy
The Porvoo refinery in Finland celebrated its 60th anniversary. Starting in 1965 to secure Finland's oil supply, it became the largest oil refinery in the Nordics by the 1970s. Porvoo has been central to Neste's fuel innovations, including the development of lead-free and sulfur-free fuels. In the 1990s, Neste's NEXBTL technology for renewable production was developed here, with refining units launched in 2007 and 2009. The refinery is noted for its complexity, capable of processing over 100 products from various raw materials, including crude oil and renewable sources.
