MoU for SMR Deployment
MAIRE and NEXTCHEM have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EDF and NUWARD to explore cooperation in deploying the NUWARD Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Program. This initiative was announced during the World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris.
Strategic Objectives
The collaboration aligns with MAIRE Group and NEXTCHEM's strategic goals to work with nuclear technology providers on small and advanced modular nuclear technologies. The aim is to deliver affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.
E-Factory Vision
NEXTCHEM's vision for its "E-Factory for Low-Carbon Chemistry and Data Centers" focuses on integrating low-carbon energy sources into industrial processes and digital infrastructure. This supports electrification and decarbonization efforts.
Launch of NEXT-N
NEXTCHEM has launched NEXT-N, a joint venture dedicated to developing new intellectual property for conventional islands and providing technical services for next-generation nuclear power plants.
TECNIMONT's Role
TECNIMONT, a sister company of MAIRE, will leverage its project delivery expertise and modularization approach to optimize construction and planning, reducing both time and costs.
