Agreement Signing
KazMunayGas (KMG) and Lummus Technology have signed a Heads of Agreement to establish a Digital Center of Excellence in Atyrau. The agreement was signed in New York by KMG Chairman Askhat Khassenov and Lummus Technology President and CEO Leon de Bruyn.
Center Objectives
The new center aims to facilitate technology transfer to Kazakhstan and enhance personnel training for state-of-the-art petrochemical facilities. It will focus on training specialists in modern process technologies and improving their qualifications, with an emphasis on industrial safety.
Operational Management
The center will be managed by KMG's subsidiary, KMG Engineering LLP, marking a new phase in the collaboration between KMG and Lummus Technology.
Existing Collaborations
Lummus Technology is already a key licensor for several major KMG projects, including the Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. (KPI) plant and the Polyethylene project operated by Silleno LLP.
